International Information
The World Map

Victorine Originals ships to countries around the world, sending out 10-20 international packages each week to stores and individual customers. We pride ourselves in the care we take in packaging international orders.

Most international orders will be shipped via Priority Mail International. We have found this to be a quick, reliable and reasonably priced service. We use flat-rate mailers measuring 12-1/2" x 9-1/4" that allow us to send up to four pounds of product for a set price. Items not fitting in the flat-rate envelope will be priced based on the package weight and final destination, and may require an adjustment to the shipping and handling automatically quoted by the computer.

We will be happy to look at International First Class Mail for your order, however, we may need to build your order before we can quote you a price. We have found this service to be less reliable, and in many cases it does not offer a significant savings over Priority Mail International. If Priority Mail International is not available to your area, we will default to this service to ship your package.

Occasionally we’re asked if it is possible to insure a shipment outside the U.S. We will need to look at this on a case-by-case basis. Insurance is available to most countries for an additional charge when using Priority Mail International. Just give us a note that you'd like an insurance quote for your order, and we can adjust your total manually if you decide you would like the coverage. We can also look at using Registered Mail and adding insurance. Shipments to Canada also have the option of going FedEx Ground, which offers an automatic $100 coverage.

Customs Declaration can sometimes be a concern. Because we are a small enough company, we are not required to have importer numbers for the countries we ship into. However, we are large enough that our post office and FedEx office know we are a business. For this reason, we mark all customs forms, "other" and cannot mark shipments as a "gift". The value reported is the price you pay, less shipping and handling charges. So if you get an item on sale, we will report that value rather than the regular retail.

If you have any other questions or concerns about your international shipment that are not covered in this section, please feel free to contact me.
